Our Whipped Hair Butter is an oil-based conditioner. It’s very similar to our Whipped Body Butter, with a lighter feel due to more oil content and no beeswax or zinc oxide, which thicken the body butters. The hair butter may be used as a leave-in for thicker, courser hair, or an overnight conditioner that is shampooed out in the morning for finer or thinner hair. It may also be used sparingly on dry ends for daily smoothing and conditioning. No matter how you use it, a little goes a long way, so always start with a tiny pea-sized amount. Melts quickly in your hands to apply.

Sizes listed on all jars are NET WEIGHT. This is the actual weight of the product, minus packaging weight. This is important because products that list fluid ounces indicate the capacity of the container, not the actual weight. So a whipped product (containing air to make it lighter and easier to apply) will not weigh as much as the same product that is not whipped. Why is this distinction important? Because the 8oz jar only holds 6oz of whipped body butter by weight. Other products may list the same amount as 8 fluid ounces. The more air that is whipped into the product, the less actual product you receive. By weighing the product, you get the same amount every time!

No, there are no chemical preservatives added to any of the natural plant-based ingredients. Many of the ingredients naturally contain vitamin e, which helps the product to stay fresh by adding anti-bacterial properties. Additional vitamin e is added to each product to boost the natural skin-protecting properties of the butters, oils and glycerin.

No, no refrigeration is needed. Since there is no water in any of my products, there’s no need for refrigeration, chemical emulsifiers or chemical preservatives

All products are good for at least a year from time of purchase. I have used products that are over 2 years old (found in a box that was forgotten) that still smell fresh and moisturize just as well.
